In 2002, Adrienne left her post as an Academic Advisor at Salve and headed to the University of Edinburgh, Scotland for a professional internship. She then jet-setted to Seattle, leaving some to wonder whether Rhode Island, her native state, would be forever deprived of her presence. Yet, fear not – Adrienne's loyalty to the Ocean State is no flimsy matter! Adrienne describes why even one of the most charming European cities didn't alleviate her longing for the City by the Sea, "Newport is a wonderful place. The city has beaches, amazing architecture, restaurants, shops, boating, and festivals, all within walking distance!"
With her experience in Admissions, Academic Advising, and Student life, Adrienne is a knowledgeable resource for the transfer student and incoming freshmen (her territory consists of Florida and portions of Connecticut) that she works with. Adrienne explains that representing Salve comes naturally to her, "there's a strong sense of community and belonging here, and the faculty and staff are available to student and interested in their overall development and well being. Plus, the emphasis on service learning and giving back to others makes Salve easy to talk about with parents and prospective students." (The McAuley lawn and rose gardens, Adrienne's favorite campus locales, only add to Salve's appeal!)
Outside of work, Adrienne enjoys reading, photography, playing volleyball, renovating her new home with her husband, and listening to music. Spending time with family and friends is also important to her, as is keeping close tabs on the trials and tribulations of Dr. McDreamy!
