More than a decade ago, Laura's position as an enrollment consultant brought her to Salve Regina. And, as she says, the people at Salve and its unbeatable location convinced her to stay. As the Vice President for Enrollment, Laura oversees Salve's offices of Admissions, Financial Aid and Career Development while also working on campus-wide retention initiatives.

To say the least, Laura has dedicated herself professionally to the field of higher education for almost twenty-five years. She has written several articles which have been published in educational journals, is a frequent speaker at regional and national higher education conferences, and she's currently enrolled in a Higher Education doctoral program at the University of Massachusetts in Boston.

Despite her busy schedule, Laura still actively recruits and counsels prospective Salve students. She says, "Over the years I have seen the impact that Salve can have and I love promoting that fact." When asked why she enjoys working with the teenage population, Laura declares "They are honest, filled with potential, funny, and never, ever boring. I love helping to alleviate the pressure that they are under during the college search process."

Cover Salve's international territories and far-flung markets, Laura estimates that her work has taken her to more than 35 states and several foreign countries and images that she could "fill a book with travel experiences."

When Laura is not educating, she spends time with her husband, her two step-children, and her dogs Fenway and McCoy. IN addition to restoring her historic (1860s) home in Massachusetts, Laura enjoys her beloved Red Sox, beach related activities, skiing, antiquing, sampling take-out (as she hates to cook) and dancing to Bruce Springsteen LIVE!
