Pam first joined the Salve community on a part-time basis as the women's cross country coach. During this time, she says, "I loved the energy of campus and the sense of community…therefore, when the opportunity to join the Admissions staff presented itself, I couldn’t pass it up." With Pam's wealth of experience in Admissions, Athletics and Student Life and her enthusiastic and dynamic personality, it's no wonder why Salve couldn’t pass her up either!
Pam's admissions territory includes Rhode Island, Cape Cod and the Islands. When meeting with prospective students, Pam often shares what she believes is the greatest perk of being a Salve student, "Not only do you get all that SRU has to offer, but you also have one of New England's coolest cities at your fingertips!" Motivated by her own positive college experience, Pam's mission is to help you achieve the same result, "The highlight of this job is when a student steps on campus and says, 'yeah, this feels right!'" She does warn, however, that one trip to any of your top choice schools isn't enough, "You're making a decision that affects four years of your life, you can afford to spend at least two days selecting it!"
Pam encourages Salve students to take full advantage of all Newport has to offer, and, to say the least, she practices what she preaches! Constantly on the go, Pam enjoys walking her dog Moxie on the beach, playing beach volleyball, running, swimming, riding her bike on Ocean Drive, and dining at restaurants on Thames Street and Broadway. Furthermore, Pam's building and home-renovating skills rival those of Ty Pennington; she's currently restoring her second home which she shares with Moxie the dog, her three cats - Millie, Billa and Grey Kitty - her husband and their one year old bundle of joy.
